Hello Lorna and Marcelle – thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments. Yes Women Will 2014 had a real buzz and I know quite a few women who I’d love to invite to next year’s event!
Julie, I can highly recommend the creative writing classes at Stone Hall Adult Education centre in Acocks Green. They run on a Monday morning and Tuesday evening. I did the Monday classes for two years when I first ventured into creative writing and I found the discipline of turning up to class, reading out my work and doing homework really valuable. I to enjoyed this years Yes Women Will Event and the variety of speakers and interesting workshops. I had previously decided to take part in Fiona’s writing workshop as this has been an interest of mine as I enjoy writing as I feel this is therapeutic in dealing with various life events.

Fiona gave idea’s on how to start writing our “own stories “, in thinking of highpoints, low points and turning points in our own lives.
I am looking forward to using some of these ideas and would ideally love to attend an armature writing group in the local area.
I note that Fiona is also local Acocks Green and I am in Yardley and would be grateful if there is any information on classes in the area to develop my interests .

When Dr Lorna Cork invited me to share my strategies for success at her ‘Yes Women Will’ event I was happy to take part. I wanted to share my story so that others could benefit from my practical steps on how to succeed when the odds are against you and people are trying to hold you back. My key message was to persevere and not let anyone stop you from reaching your full potential.

Feedback on Fiona Joseph’s writing workshop was extremely positive and many people were inspired to start writing stories.

The event was fantastic and I learned a phenomenal amount during the packed day. I’m looking forward to Dr Lorna Cork’s Yes Women Will event next year.
